How to install door lock cylinder
Need your help folks. I purchased a new lock cylinder for my Chesler T-5 lock. I can’t figure out how to get the security pin to move so I can slide the cylinder in. I’m positive I’m doing something wrong because it does not appear to be seized. Old lock basically fell apart and that was how I got i...

Re: Replacing exterior vinyl with Vintage Trailer Supply Product
Ok here is the final product. My wider trim from Cayo showed up yesterday and I didn’t waste any time getting it on. She looks great. Aside for some dents in the rail that I had to open up, the vinyl slid in very nice. 85C40F49-325F-4F70-9D2B-AD20C354530A.jpeg AB9C3C39-2A83-482F-B7D3-0BE2B84ECFFA.jp...

Guess on door lock model
What do you guys think. Looks kind of like the L-200 and the handles have been replaced. There is crazy play in it and locking is worthless because you can still get the door open.

Re: Replacing exterior vinyl with Vintage Trailer Supply Product
Ok here are some more pictures in the daylight. I’m not a purist by any stretch. I have replaced the tail and clearance lights with LED’s. I am going to leave the orange logos as is though. Just waiting on my shipment from Cayo for the wider bottom trim now BCFCC302-AA9C-4E34-8058-A169607F1198.jpeg ...

Re: Replacing exterior vinyl with Vintage Trailer Supply Product
Ok so here is what I did. I purchased some RV Vinyl Insert Trim that I purchased off Amazon. (RV Designer E532, Narrow Vinyl Insert Trim, 3/4 inch Wide). Fits like a glove and looks amazing. Was super easy to install. We will see how it holds up. Looks better than the old dried up 50 year old orange...

Re: Replacing exterior vinyl with Vintage Trailer Supply Product
Hi Ian I appreciate your responses. Yeah I spoke with Chuck the other day and ordered the vinyl insert for the lower trim. It’s right around an inch and only in black. He told me he doesn’t have a supplier for the thinner mod-line stuff. I purchased some 3/4” vinyl insert off Amazon. Going to see ho...

Rear baggage door replacement
Have a 1970 T-28. Rear baggage door is missing. PO has a crappy looking piece of particle board cut to size. I am thinking about having a custom door with frame built by RecPro. Curious if anyone here has tried that. Means I have to drill out all the rivets. 5A7E0BA2-7B66-4B37-8370-C96B16024CDB.jpeg

12 volt wiring
I am trying to make sense of the 12 volt connections where the batteries tie in. This looks like a bus bar with red wire from converter and bigger black wire from battery compartment. The smaller black and white wire are a mystery to me. Seems like you would have 12V to anything connected to this bar.

Replacing exterior vinyl with Vintage Trailer Supply Product
We own a 1970 T-28 and the orange vinyl molding needs to be replaced. Vintage Trailer Supply has a product that is made for Air Stream but is very close to the Avion measurements. Curious of anyone has tried the Vintage Trailer Supply product and how well it worked.
