Re: 1959 R23 complete gut job - help & advice

KYAvion to be honest I’m not sure how much effort I want to put into the frame. Short of dragging it to a shop to have a pro get it shored up, I won’t be making it road ready- any advice? I’d be happy with just being able to relocate it within the property that it’s on. As far as subfloor, the idea...

Re: 1959 R23 complete gut job - help & advice

Hi KYAvion , thanks for checking in! I’m getting close to taking off the shell to add a new subfloor to the frame- just a bit of the belly pan left. I’ve also been redoing the weather seal on the windows, and had the glass replaced in them. It’s been slow going! And I’m still not confident that I wi...

Re: 1959 R23 complete gut job - help & advice

Mine is probably the same, it’s fiberglass and came out as one whole unit - one for the front and one for the back. Still not sure how we got it out the door 8-)

Re: Summer of renovation

DrFred thanks for connecting! I have started taking the belly pan out, here are a couple of pictures. Windows now have new glass, I found the right rubber gasket at vintagetrailers.net and a local glass shop did the glass cutting and fit it in- let me know of you are doing windows work too. I’m not...

Summer of renovation

1964 H-24 Finally getting serious about the renovation - cabinetry out, floors out, inner walls are next. So much decay in the subfloor and insulation, mouse nests between belly pan and subfloor in the insulation- glad I didn’t listen to the “just put something over it” crowd! Will re-wire, re-plumb...

Re: Can I make it go?

@Razorback that’s a good idea, it might come to that. Seems like it would be expensive though, so I’m going to try to get it rolling on site. It’s on my own property, so there’s no rush.

Can I make it go?

Alright, here we go- got this 1960 H-24 that’s been sitting for 30 yrs or more. I have no mechanics experience beyond keeping bicycles running  So my challenge is this - can I make it go! With your help and some help from my buddies I might have a shot at it. To tow it closer to where I live an...

Re: New owner - need help identifying

Thank you @Razorback ! You were right. I removed the tin covering up the bottom part of the window and found the identifying tag. It is indeed a 1960 Holiday.

Re: New owner - need help identifying

Thank you! I’ll have more pictures this weekend, I always get too carried away with other stuff and forget to pull out the phone to take pictures.
