Re: 1986 34v Silver Edition Build

Great idea! My wife and I hate how loud RV air conditioners are.

Here is a great video of a guy installing a mini split in a class C and he maxed out his solar panels and lithium batteries.

Re: 1986 34v Silver Edition Build

Wow! Looks like you have a lot of fun choices ahead of you. I too have a 1986 34V SE. I am not as handy as you and will have the pros at Motivated RV here in Austin helping my wife and I with the remodel/refurbishing. Hopefully we won't have floor damage, but I'm preparing myself for the worst. I se...

Re: Tow vehicles

I am torn as to what to get to tow the 1986 34V I am refurbishing. The process will likely take 6 months or more, so I have plenty of time. I have had multiple back surgeries, so I need something comfortable. That probably means my tow vehicle of choice (New F250 PowerStroke) is out due to being to ...

Re: Just bought a 1986 34V

Solid advice Rostam, thanks! The trailer specs out at 7084 lbs dry and a 765 lb tongue weight. I put a “Weight-Safe” hitch on and right now it is closer to 625 lbs tongue weight. I’ll go by a CAT scale as soon as I can to see what it weighs. My 2021 BMW X5 45e Hybrid is spec’d at 7200 lbs max towing...

Before pictures of a 1986 Avion 34V-Special Edition

My wife and I were recently tasked with caring for this beautiful servant for the adventurous! We are amazed at how well it has held up! Not sure how deep the renovation rabbit hole we are going to go, but we (OK…me!) have a habit of over-doing things. Moderator, let me know if I should post ...

Re: Just bought a 1986 34V

Thanks! We are soooo excited! I would love a new loaded F250, but I’ve been through 3 back surgeries in my short 63 years and I’m worried it will be to rough on me and my lovely bride when unladen. Any ideas to soften the ride on one of these torque monsters?
