tire pressure recommendations

Post by DJ18 »

My husband asked me if I'd read about recommended tire pressure for the Avion (85 25H). the tires are quite new, the previous owner put them on recently. They are Hercules Power ST2, size 225 75 15. the max pressure on the sidewall says 80 psi. He asked me if the manual or a sticker anywhere gave right pressure, but I know if there were, it would not be applicable. I've done some searching here, but there is just a lot of variables, and I can't find a clear answer. any help please?

I run at the max psi for my tires, which is 80 PSI.

Tireman 9 has a great website on RV tire safety

The rule of thumb is cold measured maximum sidewall

This avoids tearing tires off the rim in tight turns.

Getting the right tires in terms of that pressure nd correct MEASURED load (scale) has been the hard part.

Me, I’d never put ST tires on a TT. It’s illegal to use them on a passenger vehicle their quality is low.

I’m not a fan of ST tires either. I’m running Cooper HT3’s on my 30R.
