Razor I do go back and forth on it. I think the new airstream look cool but for some reason I don’t like it as much on an avion.

When you paint, use foam rollers for the walls and cabinets. The foam rollers apply the paint a lot cleaner and smoother.

I think the difference with the new Airstreams is the recessed lights. Whether aluminum or painted walls, I think recessed lights really modernize the trailer.

Oh, how I wish Avions were still being made!
If someone gave me the pile of money it would take to buy a new Airstream, I would much rather invest in a herd of nicely kept Avions, including pickup campers and Motovators!

I agree. When mine is done, it’ll probably be the last camper I ever buy, unless someone offers me a ton of money for it. New airstreams are almost $100k. I paid $2k for mine and I’ll probably put $3k into it and it’ll be better.

Good luck with yours. I like hearing what you are doing with it!

Sound issues Re: Repaint vinyl headliner
I would not recommend removing the wall covering if it is good shape. Painting it will give it the modern look and retain your sound dampening with vinyl type covering left in place.
