Type of brakes

I wanted to ask what type of brakes are on my 1979 Avion 34? Are they electric or surge hydraulic? When I change out the tires, I want to check for a) if the brakes drums turn and b) if they're electric are the drum normally locked without the trailer hooked up to a source.

Yours should be electric brakes, and they will be loose, not set, with no power applied.

Thanx for the reply...I could not find a diagram or schematic online. Can you tell me what I look for to verify this?
