Goodyear Wrangler

Post by Rostam »

I bought LT215/75R-15 GOODYEAR WRANGLER HT D tires 4 years ago ($126 each). They are Light Truck tires, with max load of 2095 pounds, max speed of 99 MPH, and max psi of 65.They have served me very well (No issue that I can think of). They are also made in USA. Buying American products (as difficult as it has become these days), supports American workers and manufacturing. Just wanted to give a shout out to Good Year for their great products. I would not hesitate to buy tires from them when its comes to replacing my existing tires.

I tried my best to get Goodyear tires locally but the only place that carried them wanted over 200.00 each plus installation. The other tires they had were all made in China and they were D rated and still wanted $135.00 each plus installation. So I ended up buying slightly better Chinese tires E rated for $85.00 each delivered from amazon. I still had to pay for the installation but that was going to be a cost either way. I will run these until they wear out and by then I should be in the lower 48 and will have access to better tires much cheaper. I’ve already got about $2000.00 into my suspension on my $3500.00 trailer :P. But I expect it to be road worthy at least for a bit.

I bought the tires on Tirerack.com. They do not carry this specific tire now (they have it for 16" wheels), but Walmart and other places still have it, but I guess the availability varies by region. No complaints so far.

Yeah the nearest Wallyworld to me is around 2 hours away. I haven’t shopped there in many years. Tire rack wants as much as the price of the tires to ship them to me here. One of the perks of living in Alaska in a small town I guess.
