PS: The Rivian is base on real world testing and not an EPA lab.

Update...
I have just about talked myself right out of making the move as I don't believe it is the right move to be an early adopter. I also think campgrounds may catch on and start restricting or charging a fee. I'm going to keep going with what I have for now.

Wise move. Until EV manufacturers are able to sell their product without government incentives, chickens will grow lips before you see me in the market.

I agree. I think the EV range limitations are real, even when not towing.

Speaking of old technologies :D, tonight Toyota will unveil the new Tundra (at 9:30 pm EST, to be exact). I'm hoping they keep the 5.7 V8 (at least in the lower trims. They are introducing a turbo V6) and offer a hybrid option to help with city MPG. Toyota is the leader in hybrid technology and I would trust them with a hybrid Tundra 100%. Current Tundra is a bit heavy and if they shed 200-300 pounds of weight, use a 10 speed transmission, reduce the axle ratio to say 3.92 (right now its 4.30!), with a revised/new engine and hybrid technology, hopefully, the MPG is competitive again.
