What kind of rivets and sealant would y’all use to reattach a beltline? Also would like to hear opinions about which riveter to go with and from anyone that’s used vinyl chair wrap for the rubrail like PewterPalace recommends. Thanks

Watched a great video on the Avion Restoration FB page. Decided just use the medium length 5/32 rivets that came in my Arrow rivet tool kit and used the a tub of Flex Seal paste as sealant. I used a putty knife to smear FS in and around the holes on the trailer and the belt itself then dipped the rivet in FS before seating in the prefilled holes. It worked wonderfully. Flex Seal and their family of products have been my to go for sealing and stopping leaks whenever I’ve come across them and to date I haven’t had an issue. Toughest part of this job was scraping off the lock tight I tried using as a band-aid a few weeks ago. But a couple coats of wd40 applied the day before helped me scrape it off much easier.

I wondered about that decoration. Is there a horizontal seam that it protects or is it for looks?

There is a seam. It’s where the top and bottom sections of aluminum meet.
