Best view is of nothing. Doesn’t last long, though. It doesn’t include that big truck tailgating you (350’ back is where he should pull out).

He’s crowding the line. I can tell you where he’s from (given that behavior). These two observations are a signal to you he’s not competent in his job.

The car in the passing lane is what he’s waiting for. He shouldn’t have. Left lane has no ROW. It’s more important he kept YOU far outside his total stopping distance.

At the same time, maintain lane center. Dummies like him are used to a fixed distance to whom they’re passing. He’ll get far over and then drift back. Watch it.

What I do with them is to crowd the stripes. Hard. That “tends” to move them far left. Then, as they pass I drift back to center to enjoy this maximized distance.

By the way, law states that the mirrors must have a convergence point behind the combined vehicle. 100’ or so. Verify this. Modify mirrors as necessary.

If it’s a FORD, well, get a REAL truck. Far fewer headaches that way.

My most favorite part of that view is the Avion attached to it...... that means we’re going somewhere!
(Moving down the road at 60-62, of course....)

I definitely keep an eye on traffic, knowing that most will be passing me at some point. You can certainly spot the ones that know what they are doing.

That picture was taken somewhere near the Colaw salvage place on I-44, if I remember correctly.

Not going to get into the truck thing. I love mine, and it does everything I need it to do quite nicely. I hope you are enjoying yours.

My two favorite views in my rear view are:

1) my Avion, because it means we’re going somewhere or went somewhere.

2) the Dallas skyline, because it means I’m leaving there...

Nice reminder post Paul, I need to button up some projects and get on the road before I start hopping on planes again.

Thanks,
Ian
