Curtain rods hook slides
I’ve removed the curtains, and sewn new ones, but wanted to keep the hardware original. The traverse rods appear to be stainless steel, but the slides the curtain hooks insert into are some sort of steel alloy. As you can see, they were fairly corroded. But after a soak for a few days in white vineg...

Re: Veneer damaged to doors.
Thank you for the reply. I believe the doors to be solid. They appear to be plywood with a Baltic birch veneer. Although I don’t have a planer, I know someone that does. I haven’t done veneer application before, but willing to learn.

Re: Structural damage to tongue/frame due to rust
Thank you for taking the time Bob. This pretty much what I thought — wishful thinking, but I was afraid it would be much worse. So your reply comes as welcome news. I had no idea of what this would cost. The local Amish welder has a good reputation for repairs on heavy equipment, tractors and farm i...

Re: Structural damage to tongue/frame due to rust
I think the right side may just require cleanup and paint but will check it out. The left side will definitely require some welding as you suggested. Thanks fir taking the time to reply!

Travelcade and our Old Gal
Our old gal, Tillie,a ‘66 T21 has definitely been around the block a few times, as #25 from the Iowa Travelcade Unit, she attended most if not all, of the Rendevous events beginning in 1967 with the Midwest Rendezvous. This has been documented by the display of decals to the right of the entry door....

Sorry, hit SUBMIT before attaching the pic. The first picture shows significant damage, after rust was scraped away. The second may be more than cosmetic.

Structural damage to tongue/frame due to rust
We spent some time, yesterday, taking a closer look at our 1966 Avion Tourist. The most significant damage is from rust and erosion to the left side of the tongue/frame. My question is this: how much would one expect to pay for this type of repair? There’s an Amish man in our area that has a reputat...

Fiberglass cover for front window? 1966 T21
Would appreciate information related restoring, repairing or replacing the fiberglass cover for the front window. Not only is the fiberglass in bad shape, the aluminum hinges/arms are in pieces. But it appears the parts are all there. Any suggestions appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Re: Another hobby of mine
Nothing like new potatoes! I purchased 25 gallon fabric bags to use as raised beds. So far I have four bags planted with taters.
