I was able to get the doors off by removing lower bracket and then removing outside door. This left me with what you see in photo. The top bracket is pressed onto the rod. I believe the bracket coming from the screen door is supposed to rotate around the rod. However, it is frozen and will not move....

Nope. Did not. Looks like faint tan brush strokes. I am recoating top with a product called reRubber so I an not concerned.

It did not change the appearance but where the coating was streaked it appeared the aluminum was oxidized. It took 3 applications and scraping with plastic scraper to remove. Then wipe down with mineral spirits followed by denatured alcohol.
