Re: Composter toilet and wall removal
I was really surprised at what the wall removal did for the interior. I repurposed some wood from the door way and used a dowel rod stained to the correct color so it almost looks factory.

Re: Norcold N841 in our 1987 34W
I had a Engel 12V chest cooler/frreezer available when I pulled the original 2 way. Have no regrets so far.

Awning support support
Re the awning on my '89 32 footer, where the support meets the shell was getting pretty damaged so here is what I did. Using .063 T6061, I used as a plate to go between the arms and shell, there are structural pieces at the junctures that can be tied into, which I'd suggest if possible. The rivets a...

Composter toilet and wall removal
On my '89 32', I removed the wall and that made a big difference in the room available, both bathroom and hallway. I am going to hang a curtain amidship for privacy. The 'composter', is a nature's head. First I capped the tank with a 3" mpt plug, then tapped that for a 1/4" mpt to 3/8"...

Re: Wood Stain Match?
Funny that should be asked. I just went over the woodwork in my '89 32 footer. It has the reddish tint to the wood work, the wood may be birch, I can't really tell. I went down to menards and picked up a can of minwax polyshades gloss pecan. Couldn't have had one better custom made. Used a rag to to...

Re: Rooftop sealing with Henrys Tropicool silicone
I think some of that idea about silicone not sticking is from the older days with a different formulation. I've used henry's with GE silicone rtv and have had no problems applying one over the other. I have applied henry's using 2-3 coats just cause I had the extra and have had no problems. It still...

Re: Pressurizing the water system on a '66 Sportsman
That is correct. I am going to all the trouble of replumbing and fixing, I don’t want to watch water dribbling from the top of the tank inlet. These trailers are pretty good, just need a little attention. I saw a new airstream price of $212k. Makes me feel I can give this one a little attention.

Re: Replacing tub drain flange in a 1988 34X
Okay, so here is what I came up with on my '89 32S, which is probably similar to all others in that vicinity. Sorry, I would have posted earlier but was having problems getting past the pop up ads. Coming in from the right is the original 1 1/4" abs, to an adapter to 1 1/2" 45*, the rubber...

Re: Pressurizing the water system on a '66 Sportsman
I just pressure tested the fresh water system on my '89 32S cause I'm replumbing with pex. Plugged all the holes and used water and dish soap. Found the spiral groove fresh water fill was the big leaker, the inner spirals don't seal when clamped. So what I did was use aquarium silicone sealer on the...
