Re: Upgrading 12v and 120v panels
I forgot to add that the Parallax power supply is made in America using American steel. From their website. The only problem I have with this system is that the closure is made of plastic and is very fragile. I’m using a screw to hold the door closed but that’s no biggie for me. I can live with it. ...

Re: Upgrading 12v and 120v panels
I bought the panel a few years ago and since I was down for a year with a torn rotator cuff I wasn’t able to get to it until this year. I don’t recall exactly what I paid but I think it was around 400.00 back then and I bought it off fleabay. D7BE9868-60C0-4451-BB05-214029D09AF3.png The power cord I...

Re: Exterior Rivets
I’ll assume by closed end rivets you’re referring to buck rivets? The general rule as I understand it as well as employ, is that the tail should protrude twice as far as the material being fastened together. This allows for the tail end to be bucked to twice the diameter of the rivet shaft for prop...

Leveling made easy but not cheap.
I was perusing Amazon for parts and came across a leveling system that doesn’t require getting in and out the vehicle numerous times and looking at bubble levels. I’m thinking about buying the pro unit as it can connect into the 12v system and not run out of batteries when you need it. You pair this...

Re: Upgrading 12v and 120v panels
I just installed a 50 amp parallax power supply. I had to remove about an inch of wood to get it in. I also just ran the cable right into the panel. I figure that way no one can steal my cable as they aren’t cheap. I’ve added a few pics of the old and the new unit. I still have a few things to do to...

Exterior Rivets
I read that people are buying 5/32 closed end rivets for the exterior but I’ve never seen the length being discussed. I searched and found numerous replies to the size but not the length. I’m looking to buy some for exterior work and want to make sure I get the correct length. What length are people...

Dang,
That unit has the cabinet trim that I’ve been looking for to complete my cabinet restore. I’ve been unable to find any of it anywhere and I only need a few pieces to finish. But it’s not worth the money for just that.

Re: Rock Guard Replacement
I built mine from galvanized channel and plexiglass I found at the hardware store. Pop rivets and some aluminum hinge I had on hand. An idea if you don’t want to buy one. Chuck had one a year ago when I stopped in to see him and have him give my 28J a look see. He lost his mold in a fire so there w...

Re: Window glazing
News that Hehr has been bought out is a bit worrisome. So, in three years, when the glazing on a window needs to be replaced, what are the options? Replace a window in its' entirety? I’m not sure that’s why I’m getting everything I can find now. Although I pretty much need everything anyway. I hope...
