Fiberglass in underbelly?
Fiberglass in underbelly?
While fastening loose spots along the underbelly of my new 30R, I noticed some fiberglass insulation in the proximity of the holding tanks. I realize the shell is spray foam and the floor consists of rigid foam board, but did Avion resort to using fiberglass around the holding tanks? Or maybe this is someone else's work?

Re: Fiberglass in underbelly?
Yes, they used fiberglass around the tanks. I pulled it all out when I had my bellypan apart. Mice love it for nesting & I don't plan on using the tanks in winter.

I'll have to pull it out at some point as well, and replace it with pieces of rigid foam board to surround the tanks. I'm surprised they didn't do that to begin with.

Re: Fiberglass in underbelly?
Me too. Why spray all the rest & put the fiberglass there? I had plenty of mouse nests inside the trailer when I bought it & they transported the fiberglass from underneath to use for their nests. Gross!
