Adding to the list: Hehr window screw cover.
I tried part number 009-042, it was too wide for my windows(.79”). Found a supplier for the correct size(.6”)on eBay, bought a foot for $1, plus $4 shipping. Fit perfectly. Did a little more digging around on the internet, ran across the same product through Amazon at $.50/ft. Pics below.

Hey gang,

It’s time to address some window gasket issues, namely replacing the lower seal that sits on the bottom sill and seals the back and bottom of the lower pane to the frame. I’ve looked through VTS and vintage gasket sites and haven’t found this one. Any help or thoughts?

Per the spreadsheet on the first page, the bottom seal is 009-111. However, it is a different shape than yours, but I wonder if it would work? For the sake of clarity, do you have a pic of your seal in the window?

Here are my windows and the track the gasket sits in:

It doesn’t look like the one from interstate would work, I scoured their site as well.

Should you go to the Parkin website (do a search for Hehr Window parts) you'd find the same part number with the same shape gasket/seal.
Could it be possible that a previous owner used a non Hehr seal?

Update:

I spent quite awhile chatting with Robert from Vintage Trailer Gaskets over the course of several back and forth phone calls discussing this. He seemed to take this as a personal mission and while we didn’t locate the right gasket, he was extremely helpful and is even sending me a sample pack of various gaskets to try without my asking or paying. Will definitely be getting whatever gaskets I need from him.

I scoured all the sites: interstate, VTS, Pelland, inland, eBay and so on and just can’t seem to find it. Also called Chuck.

Robert suggested that due to the year of my trailer, that may have been a limited transition run of windows in that from what he knows, there were several styles of window being produced during the mid ‘70s and not all stayed in production for very long.

With his help and some searching of the Pelland site, I’ve determined that my windows are either a 7900 series, or 8700. They look to be 8701 but could be a 7931...

Just dug through the Parkin site, thanks for the tip Salty.

Perhaps the P.O. replaced all the bottom seals with something after market, but it’s an exact fit and definitely look to be oem...

The hunt continues.

Thanks,
Ian

I have the exact same windows and seals as you on 79 manufactured in 78. I'll be watching this thread closely as my seals are also in need of replacement.

Hi Jason,

Are your bottom seals the same as mine? If they are, it would confirm that ours are OEM. Well, go along way towards confirming it anyway...
