Avion sites shutting down

Post by Rostam »

Apparently both SilverAvion.com and Yahoo Avion group are being shut down. SilverAvion's owner, apparently, cannot manage the cost of keeping the site up and running. The new owner of Yahoo wants them out of managing groups. Just wondering if there is a way for this site to take in useful content from those sites before they go away.

Great question and I wish I had a good answer. Forum member, Jason, is helping to look into this. I also sent an email to Rol at the yahoo group to invite him here.

it sux when forum groups go away. The loss of information and knowledge is irreplaceable and a great loss to the community as a whole. I hope that we can find a way to transfer content so as not to completely lose this important data/database
