Bargman L400

Post by Salty »

I brought the extended latch from a Bargman L400 lock to a machinist today. I'm having two made for myself.
Is anyone else interested in getting a latch made out of real metal and not pot metal? Machinist should be in touch with me Tuesday regarding metal selection and price per.

I would be curious to know how much that would cost. Considering how those latch parts are non-existent, it would be good to have a spare on hand.

I was not expecting crickets on this thread.

(These broken parts will definitely get your attention if they ever break.)

I haven't heard back from the machine shop yet, but yes, I expected a larger response myself. No matter. I'll set my two locks up.

I finally have a quote back on the latch. Cost is $125 + tax & shipping. I'll be have a finalized drawing this week and then the lead time is three weeks.
The price is based on a five piece order, and I'm taking two, so that leaves the remainder up for grabs.
@RISK are you still up for a pair?

Yessir, count me in for 2 if they’re still available.

I can PayPal you when you’re ready or send a check.

Thanks!
