What are the wires for please?

Post by SubAvion »

Excluding the very thick Cable connecting to tow vehicle, I see 7 wires into the trailer (close to battery box). One pair is for main 12v power, one small pair for 2 LP tank gauges ( positive only, on the left, overlapping each other). Another Main pair for charging battery from tow vehicle (back feed from the large cable; meanwhile, the positive powers the breakaway switch). What about the 1 small wire please ( the white one on the right in the picture)? Thanks!

thanks paul, I updated my post. The power jack has another wire that doesn’t go into the trailer, so it’s not in the picture. Now I think Only 1 small wire (on the right in the picture) is unknown.

Did the original LP tank/regulator setup have a method of switching from one tank to the other from the control panel? I’ll have to check the owners manual.

Yes, Paul, mine doesn’t work and I’m not sure how the sensors should be, but from the panel, it differentiate tank 1 and 2. There’s also a switch near the propane regulator to let us select propane from either tank.
