The Eagle Has Landed!
Our 30P is finally back on the ground after 5 months of underbody re-build. We had not expected it to take this long. But the old domino-effect kinda caught up with us.
We needed to do things right. Once the belly pan was re-installed, chances are it will never be removed again.
We feel blessed the weather cooperated with our work and timeline. Here in Michigan, we had an unusually mild November. It enabled me to get the roof and underbody work completed without compromise before conditions changed.
I lowered the trailer to the ground as the temperature was moving from the high 40's to the mid 30's; we had snow flurries the next day.
I guess everybody has their own story about how weather conditions affected a work project on their trailer, It's almost liberating, especially if a trailer restoration is tied to a relocation timeline.
We now move to reinstalling the refurbished interior. More to come.
