April 2018 from CA to FL Keys via I-10 & 75

After 2 months of work repairing the water system and getting original Fresh H2O tank welded (thanks Inco Products) I am on the road with my 1989 34XB and the basement is full. Left California 3/29. First night in Benson AZ at Valley Vista RV park. Second Night was spent in El Paso at Mission RV Park. Am currently in Hill Country of Texas at Kerrville-Schriner Park Campground. This is a wonderful camp on the Guadalupe River and offers full hookups. I usually see fireflies at night but I guess I'm too early in the season. I'm attaching some images of the trip so far. Camped next to me is a very unusual rig (last photos) that is a combination of a 1974 Kenworth (front end) a Volvo big rig rear end and a 1988 or 89 Airstream. The owner (Charlie) was nice enough to give me a grand tour and went through the process to get to the finished product. Quite impressed with the engineering and labor to create such a work of craftsmanship.
Spring in the Texas Hill Country is an experience not to be missed. Great vistas, warm and friendly people and wow the food here can't be beat.
Tomorrow we head for Wallisville, TX near the LA border. Any fellow AVIONics that see me stop and say hello. Safe travels.

Sounds like a fun trip! Thank you for keeping us posted.
I have never seen it in person, but I have a picture saved at home of a big rig like that but with an Avion on it. (I know which one I would prefer!!)

Great pictures! Nice looking basement model.... those are few and far between, and I cannot remember ever seeing one in person.
