Streamline was overall the best design & construction.
Silver Streak close, and always had the most storage (a 28’ can pack away more than a 34’ Avion).
Avion got most things right, and the big advantage is sheer numbers. It’s the easiest to find today.
As it’s condition that trumps all else, one can’t go wrong with any. All need improvement. The hardest part is folks WON’T spend for the same quality as the factory. (Curtains, etc).
It’s gotten late in the day to find an unmolested original. There’s an Avion in Houston recently being sold by the original owner. And there was an SS in New Mexico that, with the former, I’d wire some money ahead and stand on the throttle all the way.
That Moho above is original. Most of the very few made never left the West Coast. Which also accounts for low miles. They never have to go far.
