Replacement Mirror Latch

Post by Aviongirl1995 »

This latch that keeps the bathroom mirror in place when it’s closed snapped in half the other day. Does anyone know where I could find a replacement?

the chances of finding one identical are slim. Chuck Cayo would be the only source that comes to mind, however, in the interest of expediency, may I suggest a trip to home cheapo or Lowes or better yet the local hardware store and take a good look at the magnetic latches. I think you'll find something there that will work just fine.

It's nice to keep them original. but some things just go out of production, often for good reason - the item was replaced by something better and or cheaper that did the same thing. This may be a good time to think outside the box.

I never have liked that plastic latch...... just waiting for ours to come off in our hand.

What did you end up doing here? I looked at alternative latches but got nervous about drilling holes into the back panel holding the mirror. JB Weld the magnet plate onto the back panel?

Appreciate any input. Thank you.

Our latches are still intact. If/when they don’t work any longer, I will figure out another method of securing the mirrors. I know magnets will work, but I might roam through Hone Depot and get some ideas.
